Digital Skillsand Ciudad Creativa Digital Announce Second Scholarship Winner

Digital Skills  and Ciudad Creativa Digital have announced the second scholarship winner for the “BSc (Honours) in Digital Technology, Design and Innovation” programme, which began in October 2015.

Melissa Carrillo has been sponsored with a scholarship for the programme. She will have the unique opportunity to work on real digital projects with fellow participants from around the world. She will graduate in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Digital Technology, Design and Innovation.

At an event held in the Morelos Park, in Guadalajara, Mexico, CEO Mauricio Navarro awarded the Digital Skills scholarship.

Itzel Martinez Felix was announced as the winner of the first scholarship. That announcement was made on July 21st, 2015 in the Former Presidents Hall of the City Hall. The event was chaired by the Eng. Ramiro Hernandez, Mayor of Guadalajara, Mauricio Navarro Gárate, president of the Ciudad Creativa Digital, Paul Dunne, CEO of Digital Skills, Juan Manuel Lemus Soto, regional director of CONACYT West, Pedro Ruíz Gutiérrez, Secretary of Economic Promotion of Guadalajara and the presence of representatives from the academy and industry.

“We are delighted to be part of the digital growth of Mexico in the announcement of the scholarships and with the intake of participants from Guadalajara and Mexico City in 2015. We are fully confident that both Itzel and Melissa will play an instrumental part in Mexico’s digital future and will be an asset to the countries growing tech sector in years to come.” Paul Dunne commented.

Itzel Martinez and Melissa Carrillo were selected by Ciudad Creativa Digital and Digital Skills based on their career history and keen ambition to contribute to the economic and digital development of Guadalajara and Mexico.
